Released in 2020 to celebrate Union’s longstanding relationship with basketball, streetwear and Los Angeles culture, the sneaker reworks Tinker Hatfield’s iconic Air Jordan 4 through unconventional materials, altered proportions and vintage-inspired detailing.

The upper combines premium Off Noir suede with breathable mesh panels, creating a rich black foundation contrasted by Brigade Blue detailing around the collar and eyelets. Vibrant Light Fusion Red accents appear across the support wings, tongue and branding, while cream-toned elements throughout the midsole introduce a subtle aged appearance. The combination of premium textures and contrasting colours gives the sneaker a distinctive retro aesthetic.

One of the collaboration’s defining features is its folded and stitched tongue. Inspired by the way Union founder Chris Gibbs wore his Air Jordan 4s during his youth, the tongue arrives folded down and secured with stitching.
