BAPE Year of the Rabbit Ape Head Tee (2023) Black

BAPE Year of the Rabbit Ape Head Tee (2023) Black

The BAPE Year of the Rabbit Ape Head Tee (2023) Black celebrates the Lunar New Year through A BATHING APE’s distinctive Japanese streetwear identity. Released as part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection, the T-shirt commemorates the Year of the Rabbit, combining traditional Chinese zodiac symbolism with BAPE’s iconic Ape Head motif. The design reflects the label’s longstanding approach to incorporating cultural celebrations into its seasonal collections.

Presented on a classic Black cotton base, the T-shirt features a special Year of the Rabbit graphic incorporating BAPE’s signature Ape Head identity. The artwork brings a playful interpretation of the zodiac rabbit into the brand’s recognisable visual language, creating a distinctive seasonal design. The contrast between the black fabric and the commemorative graphic allows the artwork to remain the centrepiece of the garment.

Constructed from 100% cotton, the T-shirt offers a comfortable everyday feel with a traditional short-sleeve silhouette. A ribbed crew neckline provides a classic finish, while the cotton jersey fabric delivers softness and breathability for regular wear. The versatile black colourway makes the piece easy to coordinate with denim, cargo trousers, shorts and sneakers, allowing the statement graphic to complement a variety of contemporary streetwear outfits.

As part of BAPE’s 2023 Year of the Rabbit collection, this T-shirt represents a distinctive moment in the brand’s seasonal archive. Lunar New Year releases bring together cultural storytelling, limited seasonal themes and established streetwear graphics, making them particularly appealing to collectors. The Black edition combines the significance of the 2023 zodiac celebration with the enduring popularity of BAPE’s Ape Head design, offering a memorable addition to any Japanese streetwear collection.
